What is a bind rune?
A bind rune combines two or more Elder Futhark runes into a single symbol. The runes are chosen for their individual meanings, then merged to create a composite intention. Historically, stacked bind runes were carved on runestones as efficient ligatures. The Bluetooth logo is a well-known example, combining the H and B runes of Harald Bluetooth. Modern practitioners use bind runes as personal sigils for protection, intention-setting, and tattoo art.
